Enrique Jimenez-Colorado Killed in Rear-End Accident on Collins Avenue [Orange, CA]

Driver Enrique Jimenez-Colorado Dies after Crashing into Another Car on Collins Avenue at Glassell Street

 
ORANGE, CA (May 23, 2022) – Enrique Jimenez-Colorado died in a rear-end accident in Orange on Friday evening, May 20.
 
The accident happened around 9:50 p.m. at Collins Avenue and Glassell Street. CHP officials said a Honda Civic carrying a man and a woman was stopped at a red light at Collins Avenue preparing to turn north onto Glassell Street.
 
For unknown reasons, an older-model Dodge Ram pickup truck rear-ended the Civic.
 
48-year-old Orange resident Jimenez-Colorado was the one driving the Dodge truck. He suffered significant injuries and died at the hospital, according to the Orange County Coroner’s Office.
 
Meanwhile, two occupants in the truck sustained minor injuries.
 
Police said it was unknown at this time if drugs and/or alcohol played a factor in the crash. An investigation is underway.
