Pedestrian Accident on Columbus Street in Bakersfield Leaves Victim in Critical Condition

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 30, 2021) – An elderly man suffered critical injuries after a pedestrian accident on Columbus Street in Bakersfield.
 
The accident happened just before 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 29 in the 3700 block of Columbus Street. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the man was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk when a vehicle hit him.
 
As a result, the victim suffered major injuries. He was taken to a hospital and was listed in critical condition.
 
The driver involved in the collision stopped and cooperated with investigators.
