SELMA, CA (October 24, 2022) — An elder riding a scooter was hit and killed by a train on Floral Avenue near Front Street.
 
According to reports, the fatal scooter accident happened around 2:00 a.m. Friday. As the man tried to cross a railroad crossing, he somehow got his motorized scooter stuck in the tracks. Tragically, the man was unable to free himself in time. As a result, the train struck him, and the man died later at the scene.
 
Authorities have not released the victim’s name at this time. Although if anyone has more information on this accident, please call the Selma Police Department.
