36-Year-Old Elaine Macdonald Dies after Colliding with Truck along Highway 18 in Apple Valley

 
APPLE VALLEY, CA (May 16, 2022) – Elaine Macdonald was killed in a traffic accident in Apple Valley, early Saturday morning on May 14.
 
The accident happened around 12:08 a.m. on Highway 18 at Central Road. According to the Apple Valley Police Department, Macdonald was driving a white 2004 Ford Explorer when she failed to stop at the red signal.
 
She drove north into the intersection where a 2019 Mack Pinnacle broadsided her SUV.
 
Macdonald was ejected from her car after the impact. She suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. She was a 36-year-old Lucerne Valley resident.
 
The driver of the Mack truck, 47-year-old Kevin Barricman of Apple Valley, did not sustain any injuries.
