Man and His 4-Year-Old Son Hit by DUI Driver in Novato, Edward Cox Arrested
NOVATO, CA (April 28, 2021) – Edward Cox was arrested in a DUI accident in Novato Wednesday evening, April 21.
The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. on Alameda Del Prado near the Posada Del Sol intersection. According to Novato police, the 75-year-old Novato man was driving a vehicle when he struck a man and a child in a crosswalk.
As a result, the father suffered major injuries. Paramedics took the father to Marin General Hospital. However, his 4-year-old son sustained life-threatening injuries. The child was airlifted to Oakland Children’s Hospital in critical condition.
Police later arrested Cox for alleged impaired driving.
