One Arrested in Fatal Fontana Pedestrian Accident on 10 Freeway at Sierra Avenue

 
FONTANA, CA (July 26, 2022) – Police arrested a suspected DUI driver following a fatal pedestrian accident on 10 Freeway on July 24.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Sierra Avenue at approximately 11:49 PM.
 
Based on reports, a motorist who got into a solo-car crash was walking on the freeway at the time of the crash. At the same time, a Buick was headed west at an unknown speed. Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle struck the victim.
 
As a result, the victim died at the scene. As of now, the deceased’s identity was being withheld pending family notification by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.
 
In the end, officers arrested the driver of the Buick on suspicion of DUI.
 
At this point, an investigation is ongoing. Also, other details are not yet clear at this time.
