Pedestrian Killed in DUI Accident on Arden Way at Watt Avenue

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (February 3, 2021) – Police confirmed that a DUI accident on Arden Way killed a pedestrian on January 19.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened on Arden Way at Watt Avenue around 6:40 PM.
 
Based on a report, the male pedestrian was walking in the east crosswalk of the intersection at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a white GMC Sierra pickup heading eastbound on Arden Way struck him.
 
As a result, the victim died at the scene. However, officials did not yet release his name pending kin notification.
 
The pickup driver, a 69-year-old Carmichael man, cooperated with investigators. After that, CHP arrested him for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
