HESPERIA, CA (March 23, 2023) — A driver suffered major injuries after his car hydroplaned and crashed on the 15 Freeway near Main Street.
 
According to Victorville California Highway Patrol officers, the single-car accident happened Tuesday around 11:36 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a pickup truck driver in the No. 1 lane hydroplaned, which caused his vehicle to veer to the right before it struck a concrete culvert. The truck came to rest on its side along Mariposa Road and Mojave Street.
 
At some point during the crash, the driver was ejected from his car and suffered major injuries. Arriving emergency personnel took him to Loma Linda University Medical Center for immediate care.
