Driver Hurt after Vehicle Crashes Into Big Rig, Overturns on 15 Freeway in Hesperia

 
HESPERIA, CA (March 17, 2023) — A driver suffered an injury after his car crashed into a semi-truck and overturned on the 15 Freeway near Oak Hill Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle accident happened around 9:30 p.m. on the northbound 15 Freeway. For some reason, a man driving a gray Nissan crashed into the trailer of a semi-truck on the right-hand shoulder. As a result of the impact, the Nissan overturned and ejected the driver onto the road as the car landed in the No. 1 lane before it ruptured in flames.
 
According to witnesses, the crash left debris scattered across the freeway lanes.
 
A Good Samaritan in a Chrysler 300 reportedly stepped in and took the injured driver to a 76 Gas Station at Mariposa Road and Ranchero Road. Authorities responded to the location soon after to investigate what had happened.
 
San Bernardino County Fire arrived and airlifted the injured man to a trauma center. Reports made no mention of other injuries in the crash.
