At Least 1 Hurt, Several Semi-Trucks Crash on 80 Freeway in Truckee

 
TRUCKEE, CA (March 17, 2023) — At least one person was injured after multiple big rigs crashed on the 80 Freeway near Highway 89.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-vehicle collision that involved 10 vehicles in Truckee happened around 4:00 a.m. Wednesday. For unknown reasons, several cars, including multiple big rigs, collided on the eastbound side of the 80 Freeway.
 
At least one person suffered minor injuries in the accident, which happened on slick roads due to the snow.
 
Officials closed the area for an extended amount of time to investigate and clean up the scene. Information surrounding the factors leading to the accident is unavailable. However, California Highway Patrol officers will look into the possibilities.
