CHICO, CA (October 19, 2023) — A driver suffered minor injuries after crashing into a parked car on 9th Street near Orient Street Tuesday morning.
 
According to reports, the two-car accident happened around 5:00 a.m. For an unknown reason, a driver of a white Jetta lost control and crashed into the rear of a parked pickup along the curb.
 
Shortly after, firefighter-paramedics arrived and cared for the injured Jetta driver, who suffered minor injuries. Meanwhile, the tow truck driver had to put a jack underneath the truck to lift it and release the Jetta from underneath.
 
At the time of the report, traffic investigators did not say what led to the crash. However, the Chico Police Department confirmed that the driver was not under the influence.
