Dozen People Hurt after Bus Strikes Semi-Truck on Imperial Highway in El Segundo

 
EL SEGUNDO, CA (June 28, 2022) — Over a dozen people were injured after a bus hit a big rig on Imperial Highway near Aviation Boulevard on Monday morning.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the crash happened around 8:25 a.m. at 2310 East Imperial Highway. For unknown reasons, a Los Angeles commuter express bus heading eastbound on Imperial Highway and carrying about 20 passengers clipped a big rig and overturned.
 
As a result, roughly 13 people suffered a range of injuries, including three who suffered critical wounds.
 
Shortly after, emergency personnel arrived at the scene and brought the bus driver and two critically injured people to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
 
Others who suffered minor wounds were treated at the scene and released.
 
At this time, authorities have not established the leading cause of the crash. However, if any witnesses have news to share, please call the El Segundo police.
