Hit-and-Run Crash at Mission and 21st Streets Kills 1 and Injures 2

 
MISSION DISTRICT, CA (June 15, 2022) – One person died in a hit-and-run crash at Mission Street and 21st Street early Tuesday on June 14.
 
The accident happened around 1:03 a.m. in San Francisco’s Mission District. Police said two vehicles collided at the intersection for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they found the driver in one of the vehicles suffering from severe injuries. That person died at the scene.
 
Two passengers from both vehicles sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Paramedics took both of them to a hospital for treatment.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the second vehicle fled prior to officers arriving and remains at large. Police have not released any description of the driver.
 
The San Francisco Police Department urged anyone with information to call their tip line at 415-575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” at the start of the message.
