SANTA BARBARA, CA (January 21, 2024) — A dog-induced collision on Highway 101 left two people injured on Tuesday morning.
 
According to the Santa Barbara police, the incident occurred north of Milpas Street at approximately 11:36 a.m. A large dog running on Highway 101 triggered a collision between two vehicles. As a result, two people sustained minor injuries.
 
Fortunately, the injured individuals did not require transport to a medical facility for treatment. The dog emerged from the incident unharmed.
 
Meanwhile, after the incident, the Santa Barbara Police Department Animal Control successfully captured the dog in the 1200 block of Cacique Street. They identified it as a female shepherd mix. Officials said the dog awaited pickup by her owner at the Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter.
