Diego Samaniego Killed in Pedestrian Accident on South H Street [Bakersfield, CA]

24-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle on South H Street near Hosking Avenue

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 7, 2023) – Diego Samaniego was killed in a pedestrian accident in south Bakersfield early Friday morning on March 31.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:15 a.m. on South H Street, just south of Hosking Avenue. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, Samaniego was walking in the area when a vehicle struck him.
 
As a result, Samaniego suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was a 24-year-old Bakersfield resident, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
 
It is unknown if the involved driver stayed after the crash.
 
This fatality remains under investigation.
