Dick Van Dyke Hurt After Crashing Car Into Gate During Rain

 
MALIBU, CA (March 24, 2023) — Dick Van Dyke suffered moderate injuries in a solo-car crash on March 15 in Malibu.
 
According to the Malibu Sheriff’s Department, the actor and comedian was the driver and sole occupant of a silver Lexus that struck a gate during heavy rain.
 
Responding emergency personnel found the Mary Poppins star bleeding from the nose and mouth and probably suffering from a concussion.
 
Van Dyke was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol during the time of the crash; however, police ordered a request to the California Department of Motor Vehicles for him to retake a driving test because of his age.
