Police Chase Involving 3 Armed Carjacking Suspects Ends in Crash on Highway 120 in Manteca

 
MANTECA, CA (May 31, 2023) – A deputy was injured after a police chase ended in a crash on Highway 120 in Manteca Monday morning on May 29.
 
According to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, three armed suspects stole a car just after 10 a.m. The suspects led authorities on a chase through Tracy and into Manteca where they crashed in a field in the area of Highway 120 and Airport Way.
 
The three suspects and one deputy were injured in the crash. Paramedics transported all four patients to an area hospital for treatment.
 
Police said all three suspects tried to run away from the crash scene but were quickly detained. They arrested and booked them into the San Joaquin County Jail.
 
The sheriff’s office said at least one firearm was recovered.
 
Further investigation is underway.
