UPDATE: Dennis Conners Injured in Fatal Car Accident on Highway 49 [San Andreas, CA]

Woman Dead, Dennis Conners Hurt in San Andreas Car Crash on Highway 49

 
SAN ANDREAS, CA (June 9, 2021) — A woman died in a two-car accident on Highway 49 near Cement Road on June 5th.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly crash happened around 7:30 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, 48-year-old Dennis Conners of Monrow, Georgia drove a white Dodge Ram Pickup truck northbound on Highway 49 just south of O’Connell Lane.
 
The second driver, a 50-year-old female from Iowa, was headed southbound in a gray Nissan Altima. After that, the Dodge Ram veered to the left and traveled directly into her lane.
 
The vehicles had a head-on collision in the southbound lane, the force of which pushed the Nissan Altima onto the west roadway shoulder and caused the truck to overturn. Conners was transported from the scene via ambulance with minor injuries.
 
The second driver died at the scene. However, the identity of the driver who lost her life is currently being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
It is currently unknown if alcohol and drugs were a factor in this collision and no further details are available.
