Police Arrest 47-Year-Old Man for DUI after Crash in Visalia
VISALIA, CA (November 15, 2023) – David Alvarez was arrested in a DUI crash in Visalia Saturday morning on November 11.
The crash happened just after 11:00 a.m. at Ben Maddox Way and Walnut Avenue. According to the Visalia Police Department, the 47-year-old suspect failed to stop at the red light and collided into two cars and a pedestrian.
Responding paramedics took the pedestrian to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Police tested Alvarez and believed he was under the influence of a narcotic. His license was also suspended for DUI.
Alvarez was ultimately treated at a local hospital for unrelated health issues and then booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility, according to Visalia police.
Further investigation is underway.
