Daniel Lee Detained for DUI in Head-On Crash on Lotus Road near Gold Hill Road

 
GOLD HILL, CA (August 17, 2021) — Daniel Lee was arrested for DUI in a head-on accident on Lotus Road near Gold Hill Road on August 5.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-car crash happened around 6:35 p.m. For DUI-related reasons, 41-year-old Daniel Gene Lee allowed his southbound Ford Ranger to enter the northbound lanes.
 
Subsequently, his Ford collided head-on with a northbound Kia Soul.
 
As a result, the passenger and the driver of the Kia suffered major injuries. Soon after, paramedics arrived and brought them to a nearby hospital for treatment and transported Lee to Marshall Hospital.
 
In the investigation, police learned that Lee exhibited signs of impairment and arrested him for DUI.
 
At this time, the crash remains under investigation. However, anyone with more information should call the CHP.
