FRESNO, CA (June 8, 2022) — Authorities identified 60-year-old Dale Black as the man killed in a hit-and-run crash on Monday, June 6.
 
According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 1:30 a.m. near Belmont Avenue and Parkview Avenue.
 
Reports said witnesses flagged down officers and found Black in the eastbound lanes of Belmont. However, despite efforts by paramedics, Black died at the scene.
 
The driver who hit Black left the area after the crash without calling law enforcement for help.
