Christina Walker Dies after Struck by Car at North Chester and Lincoln Avenues

 
OILDALE, CA (June 29, 2022) – Christina Eileen Walker was killed in a pedestrian accident in Oildale on Monday evening, June 27.
 
The accident happened around 8:53 p.m. at North Chester Avenue and Lincoln Avenue. According to the CHP, 55-year-old Richard Wesson was driving an SUV when he struck Walker who was walking outside of a marked crosswalk.
 
Responding emergency personnel administered aid, but Walker died at the scene. She was a 50-year-old Bakersfield resident.
 
Wesson remained on scene. Authorities determined he was not under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time of the accident. They have not yet ruled out if the woman was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
 
The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
