Christian Valencia Arrested, One Fatally Injured after DUI Crash on White Lane and Hughes Lane

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 16, 2022) — Officials arrested 25-year-old Christian Valencia of Arvin after a DUI crash on Friday, May 13.
 
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, at around 12:30 a.m., officers said they saw a BMW moving on South H Street and Planz Road. Officers then lost sight of the car.
 
However, they found out later that it had been involved in a crash with a Toyota Camry on White Lane and Hughes Lane.
 
The male driver of the Toyota sustained major injuries and died at the scene. Kern County Coroner’s Office have not yet released his identity pending notification of loved ones.
 
Medics rushed Valencia to nearby hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
 
An investigation report said officials believe Valencia is under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance. They arrested and charged him with DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
