Child Among 4 Hurt in Spring Valley Head-On Crash on Jamacha Boulevard

 
SPRING VALLEY, CA (June 7, 2021) — A child was among those injured in a head-on accident on Jamacha Boulevard near Kempton Street Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the head-on crash happened around 10:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a 29-year-old woman in a 2006 Nissan Altima veered into oncoming traffic on Jamacha Boulevard. Subsequently, the Nissan collided with an eastbound 2004 Saturn SUV, driven by a 46-year-old man.
 
As a result, the San Diego woman in the Nissan suffered major injuries and received care at Sharp Memorial Hospital shortly after. Meanwhile, a 5-year-old riding in her vehicle sustained moderate injuries and required hospitalization at Rady Children’s Hospital.
 
Meanwhile, those inside the SUV suffered moderate injuries and received care at Sharp Memorial Hospital.
 
At this time, authorities have not confirmed the ultimate cause of the accident. However, if any witnesses would like to help the CHP with this crash, please contact the department.
