WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (September 1, 2022) – A 12-year-old child was hurt in a bicycle accident near Bridgeway Island Elementary School on Tuesday morning.
 
The accident happened around 7:40 a.m. on August 30. According to the West Sacramento Fire Department, the child was biking to school when a car hit them.
 
After the crash, the child waited at the scene for his mother. The victim sustained minor injuries.
 
It is unclear at this time if the involved driver remained on scene.
