30-Year-Old Woman Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Hanford

 
HANFORD, CA (April 10, 2023) – Chelsey Jacuinde was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Hanford Friday evening on April 7.
 
The fatal crash happened just before 9:20 p.m. on Tenth Avenue near Tenth Street. According to the Hanford Police Department, 35-year-old Thomas Barker was driving a black Dodge Charger when he struck Jacuinde who was walking on the roadway.
 
After striking the victim, Barker fled the scene.
 
Jacuinde suffered major injuries and died at the scene. She was 30 years old.
 
Police later located the suspect and arrested him. They booked him into the Kings County jail for the felony hit-and-run.
 
An investigation is underway.
