Celia Jimenez Dies in Rollover Crash on Highway 99 near Olive Drive

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 31, 2023) — Celia Jimenez died in an overturn accident on Highway 99 near Olive Drive.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly single-car crash happened around 2:34 p.m. Sunday.
 
For an unknown reason, a 57-year-old Bakersfield man made an unsafe turning movement and lost control of his 2003 Ford. Subsequently, the southbound Ford traveled in a southwesterly direction, struck a wooden signpost and overturned.
 
As a result, a woman in the rear seat of the Ford, not wearing a seatbelt, suffered fatal injuries. The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified her as 53-year-old Celia Jimenez, of Los Angeles.
 
The driver and a 59-year-old woman in the right front passenger seat suffered major injuries and sought hospital care at Kern Medical.
