Bobby Jacobs Jr. Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash on Jamacha Road near Main

 
EL CAJON, CA (April 5, 2021) — Bobby Jacobs Jr. died in a hit-and-run accident on Jamacha Road near Main Tuesday evening.
 
According to authorities, the crash happened around 5:30 p.m. For unclear reasons, a driver in a tow truck, hauling two vehicles, made a turn. As a result, the tow truck collided with a vehicle carrying Jacobs Jr. as a passenger.
 
As a result of the crash, the tow truck veered off the road and crashed into several palm trees. However, the driver exited the truck and fled the scene, according to police.
 
Not long after, paramedics transported the 56-year-old to Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego. Unfortunately, the El Cajon man died as a result of his wounds.
 
As detectives investigated the scene, the driver of the tow truck returned and was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run.
