Carlos Redondo and Tobias Benito Die in Jefferson Park Car Accident

 
JEFFERSON PARK, CA (April 7, 2021) – Police identified the two victims who died Saturday morning after a car accident on South Arlington Avenue in the Jefferson Park area of Los Angeles.
 
38-year-old Tobias Benito and 23-year-old Carlos Maradiaga Redondo of Los Angeles both died at the scene of the accident. However, further details remain under investigation.
 
Around 3:40 a.m. on April 3, firefighters responded to the 3700 block of South Arlington Avenue. Soon after, officials located two vehicles and three people trapped in the wreckage, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. However, police did not know the extent of the injuries at the time.
 
Officials pronounced Benito and Redondo dead at the scene.
 
A third person was freed from the wreckage. After that, officials transported the victim to a hospital in critical condition.
 
It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. However, further investigation is underway.
