Bicyclist Suffers Injures after Crash with Hit-and-Run Vehicle on Jastro Avenue in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 4, 2023) – A bicyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash at Jastro Avenue and Cannon Avenue in south Bakersfield on Saturday afternoon.
 
The crash happened shortly after 4:00 p.m. on December 31, just near Cottonwood. According to the California Highway Patrol, the bicyclist was riding in the area when they collided with a vehicle in unclear circumstances.
 
After the crash, the driver of the involved vehicle fled the scene.
 
Paramedics responded and transported the bicyclist to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
