Man Hospitalized after Bicycle Accident on South Main Street near Blanco Road in Salinas

 
SALINAS, CA (March 18, 2022) – A bicyclist sustained injuries following an accident on South Main Street on Thursday evening.
 
According to the Salinas Police Department, the incident happened on March 17, at about 6:00 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a vehicle hit the bicyclist near the intersection of South Main Street and Blanco Road.
 
Emergency crews transported the bicyclist to a hospital for treatment. Updates on the victim’s condition remain undisclosed.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
Responders temporarily closed South Main Street to make way for clearing operations and an investigation.
 
Salinas police continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
