69-Year-Old Woman Dies after Struck by Vehicle at Union Street and Mt. Vernon Avenue

 
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (May 31, 2023) – Aurora De La Cruz was killed in a pedestrian accident in San Bernardino Saturday afternoon on May 27.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:47 p.m. at the intersection of Union Street and Mt. Vernon Avenue. According to the San Bernardino Police Department, De La Cruz was struck by a vehicle while walking in the area.
 
First responders rushed her to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased at 3:26 pm.
 
De La Cruz was 69 years old from San Bernardino.
 
It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol was a factor. An investigation into this fatality is underway.
