At Least 1 Killed in Dixon Multi-Car Crash on 80 Freeway

 
DIXON, CA (December 2, 2021) — At least one person died in a multi-car accident on the 80 Freeway near Old Davis Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal multi-car crash happened around 4:18 a.m. For unknown reasons, a two-vehicle crash occurred on the eastbound 80 Freeway. Shortly after, a semi-truck collided with the vehicles during foggy conditions.
 
As a result of the crash, at least one person suffered fatal injuries. Due to the nature of the incident, authorities requested the Solano County coroner to the scene of the accident to tend to the fatal victim. Meanwhile, drivers had to divert onto Highway 113 in the meantime.
 
At this time, information as to what drove the crash remains unclear. However, anyone with more information should contact the CHP.
