CALAVERAS, CA (January 27, 2022) — At least one person died in a car accident on Highway 49 near Big Bar Road on Wednesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened early Wednesday morning near the Amador and Calaveras county lines.
 
Under unclear road conditions and circumstances, an accident occurred just south of Big Bar Road.
 
As a result, at least one person suffered fatal injuries.
