Jesus Sanchez Dies in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Shafter Avenue near Riverside Street

 
SHAFTER, CA (January 27, 2022) — Jesus Eusebio Sanchez died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Shafter Avenue near Riverside Street on Tuesday night.
 
According to the Shafter Police Department, the fatal hit-and-run occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver in an unknown make and model struck 33-year-old Sanchez.
 
Subsequently, Shafter police officers responded and found him in the roadway with major injuries. However, they found no sign of the driver at the scene.
 
Soon after arriving, officials administered life-saving measures, but Sanchez succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
