EAST HOLLYWOOD, CA (January 27, 2022) – Three people sustained injuries after a car crashed into a restaurant on Hollywood Boulevard on Wednesday afternoon.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident happened on January 26, at about 1:00 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a black Mercedes jumped a curb. Then, the vehicle crashed into the restaurant in the 4600 block of Hollywood Boulevard.
 
Emergency responders transported a man and a woman to a trauma center for treatment of serious injuries. As per reports, both victims remain in serious condition.
 
Meanwhile, the 84-year-old Mercedes driver also sustained injuries in the collision. He was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
 
Crews had to evacuate the people inside the two-story building to check the building’s structural integrity.
 
Los Angeles police continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
