Woman Suffers Traumatic Brain Injury after Crash Involving 2 Cars in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 9, 2023) – Ashley Lynn Brum was severely injured in a two-car accident in Los Angeles on April 28.
The accident happened around 2:00 a.m. near the intersection of La Brea Avenue and San Vincente Boulevard when two cars collided for unknown reasons.
At least eight people were injured in the crash. Three of the victims were treated at the scene. Four others were taken to the hospital, including Brum who suffered a traumatic brain injury.
According to Brum’s parents, she suffered two impacts during the crash, one of which came when a car slammed into the side of the vehicle she was in and another when the vehicle she was in collided with a fire hydrant.
A GoFundMe campaign was set up for Brum’s medical bills and rehabilitation.
Both cars were damage from the crash and a fire hydrant was sheared.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
