Arturo Pena Killed in 2-Vehicle, Train Crash on D Street near 15 Freeway

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (May 12, 2023) — Arturo Pena died after a train struck his car following a two-car accident on D Street near the 15 Freeway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly two-vehicle crash happened around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. For an unknown reason, 33-year-old Pena, driving southbound on D Street, crossed into the opposing lane of traffic. Subsequently, his white Ford SUV struck a gray Chevrolet SUV.
 
Due to the impact, Pena’s Ford exited the road and overturned down an embankment before coming to a stop on a train track. The conductor of the train was unable to stop in time and struck the Ford, thus killing Pena at the scene.
 
Officials said six juveniles and two adults in the Chevrolet were taken to a hospital for complaints of pain.
