Police Arrest Hit-and-Run Suspect after Striking Pedestrian and Dog in San Mateo

 
SAN MATEO, CA (November 13, 2023)Armen Grigorian was arrested in a hit-and-run crash in San Mateo Friday afternoon on November 10.
 
The crash happened around 3:26 p.m. at the intersection of 42nd Avenue and Edison Street. According to the San Mateo Police Department, a male pedestrian was walking his daughter’s dog, Lola, when the 31-year-old suspect from San Mateo struck them.
 
After striking them, Grigorian fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
First responders found the victim lying in the roadway and rushed him to local trauma center with unspecified injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the dog died at the scene.
 
Police later located Grigorian and his white Toyota Tacoma truck in San Carlos. They arrested him for felony hit-and-run.
