Police Arrest Adan Quinonez for DUI after Crashing into Tree in Hanford Badly Injuring His Passenger

 
HANFORD, CA (November 13, 2023) Adan Quinonez was arrested in a DUI crash in Hanford Friday afternoon on November 10.
 
The crash happened around 2:00 p.m. in the 600 block of Parsons Street. According to the Hanford Police Department, the 30-year-old suspect was driving a Mitsubishi SUV at a high rate of speed when he failed to navigate a southbound turn. The SUV then crashed into a tree and rolled over on its side in the front yard of a home.
 
When officers arrived, they found the 29-year-old male passenger partially ejected and trapped underneath the car.
 
Officers were able to help neighbors lift the car up enough to free the trapped man.
 
The man was stabilized before he was airlifted to a local hospital with major injuries.

Quinonez was also transported to a hospital with unspecified injuries. Investigators believed he was driving under the influence at the time of the crash. They added that he was on Post Release Community Supervision for previous DUI offenses.

After the suspect’s release from the hospital, he was booked into the Kings County jail on suspicion of felony DUI charges and a probation violation.

Further investigation is underway.
