1 Killed After Big Rig and Car Crash near Highway 155 in Kern County

 
KERN COUNTY, CA (March 4, 2024) — At least one person died after a car and a big rig crashed near Highway 155 and Highway 65.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly big rig accident happened around 5:30 p.m. last Friday. Under unclear circumstances, a semi-truck and a car collided and traveled to the east side of the highway. Subsequently, the semi-truck traveled 50 feet down an embankment.
 
By 5:50 p.m., a coroner arrived at the scene to assist with the deceased subject. Officials did not release the victim’s name.
 
Due to the crash, authorities closed the area to investigate, and animal control responded to assist a labrador dog found at the scene.
