Antonio Rojas, Rayanne Jawad Uninjured in Deadly Multi-Car Crash on Santa Fe Drive and Avenue Two

 
ATWATER, CA (November 17, 2022) — Antonio Rojas and Rayanne Jawad were involved in a fatal multi-car accident on Santa Fe Drive and Avenue Two.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal three-vehicle collision happened around 5:17 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 52-year-old woman driving a 2015 Nissan sedan attempted a left turn onto Santa Fe Drive from the stop sign on eastbound Avenue Two. As a result, her car collided with a southbound 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser, driven by 39-year-old Antonio Rojas, of Merced. Reports did not specify if she made a stop or yielded prior to proceeding.
 
As a result of the impact, the unidentified woman’s vehicle veered southbound into a 2018 BMW stopped in the left turn lane of Santa Fe Drive. Tragically, the woman died at the scene. Neither Rojas nor 26-year-old Jawad — the BMW driver — reported any injuries.
 
At this time, investigators have ruled out impairment as a possible factor. Although, an investigation into the crash should confirm more details.
