Antonio Aguirre Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Atwood Avenue [Moreno Valley, CA]

22-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies after Colliding with Sedan in Moreno Valley

 
MORENO VALLEY, CA (July 25, 2021) – Antonio Aguirre died in a motorcycle accident Thursday afternoon in Moreno Valley.
 
The accident happened around 3:35 p.m. on Atwood Avenue near Indian Street. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the 22-year-old victim was riding his 2004 Honda motorcycle and approaching a 2016 Kia Soul from behind.
 
The driver of the Kia attempted a turning movement as it entered the intersection. Aguirre crossed the centerline to pass the Kia but his motorcycle collided into the driver’s side of the car, ejecting him onto the roadway.
 
As a result, Aguirre sustained significant injuries. Responding paramedics attempted saving him, but he died at the scene.
 
The Kia driver was unharmed and was released after being questioned by deputies.
 
An investigation is ongoing. Deputies asked anyone with information to contact the sheriff’s Moreno Valley station at 951-486-6700.
