Rollover Crash on Highway 29 near St. Helena Kills Driver and Passenger

 
NAPA COUNTY, CA (May 23, 2023)Anthony Sanchez and Caitlin Leedy were killed in a rollover crash near St. Helena of Napa County early Saturday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 1:56 a.m. on Highway 29, just south of Whitehall Lane. According to the CHP, a red 2012 BMW 325i sedan was traveling at an unsafe speed southbound on the highway when it lost control. It then crossed the northbound traffic lane and collided with a sign on the east shoulder of the roadway.
 
After colliding with the sign, the BMW rolled over.
 
As a result, both the driver and his right-front passenger died at the scene.
 
Sanchez, 28, was the driver of the car. Leedy, 27, was the passenger. Both were Stockton residents, according to the Napa County Coroner’s Office.
 
Two other passengers in the back seat were transported to the Providence Queen of the Valley Hospital with moderate injuries.
 
Sanchez and Leedy were both students at the Culinary Institute of America’s Greystone campus.
 
An investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing.
