Santa Paula Man Dies after Crashing into Big Rig on Highway 126 at Wolcott Way

 
VALENCIA, CA (February 11, 2023) – Anthony Medina died in a two-vehicle accident in Valencia early Thursday morning on February 9.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:30 a.m. on Highway 126, just west of Wolcott Way and east of the Ventura County line. The site is near the Chiquita Canyon Landfill. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Freightliner semitrailer was attempting a U-turn and a Volkswagen sedan hit the side of the semi’s trailer.
 
Medina, a 30-year-old Santa Paula resident, was the driver of the Volkswagen. He died at the scene.
 
There is no information about the driver of the big rig.
 
This fatality is still under investigation.
