Anthony Gomez Killed in Multi-Vehicle Accident on 405 Freeway [Van Nuys, CA]

Early Morning Crash on 405 Freeway in Van Nuys Kills 28-Year-Old Man

 
VAN NUYS, CA (November 1, 2023) – Anthony Gomez was killed in a wrong-way accident in Van Nuys early Monday morning on October 30.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:40 a.m. on 405 Freeway, just north of Sherman Way. According to the California Highway Patrol, Gomez was driving a silver Acura when he lost control on the northbound side of the freeway.
 
The Acura then spun out and crashed into the center divider, facing the wrong way.
 
A red car then crashed into Gomez’s car, along with a truck.
 
Gomez suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was 28 years old, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
 
The other drivers sustained minor injuries.
 
An investigation into this crash is active and ongoing.
