Car Crashes into Tree on Newhope Street in Garden Grove Killing One and Injuring Three Others

 
GARDEN GROVE, CA (November 1, 2023) – A man died and three other people were injured in a car accident on Newhope Street in Garden Grove early Sunday morning.
 
According to the Garden Grove Police Department, a car had crashed into a tree in the 12900 block of Newhope Street just before 12:05 a.m.
 
When officers arrived, they found a male occupant suffering from fatal injuries. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
Authorities only identified the deceased as a 20-year-old Garden Grove resident. He was one of the passengers.
 
Three other victims, the 20-year-old male driver, and two female passengers aged 18 and 17, were in critical condition.
 
Police said the driver was cooperative with their initial investigation and that they are working to determine whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
