Angel Michel Hurt, Two-Year-Old Girl Dead in DUI Accident on 5 Freeway near 25th Avenue

 
KETTLEMAN CITY, CA (March 21, 2022) — Police arrested a Richmond man named 29-year-old Angel Meza Michel after a 2-year-old girl died in a DUI crash.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, Michel drove a 2007 Honda south on 5 Freeway north of 25th Avenue shortly before midnight on Friday, March 18.
 
For an undetermined reason, he allowed the car to drift into a shoulder on 5 Freeway. Then it overturned near Kettleman City in Kings County, CHP said.
 
Michel sustained major injuries. Medics rushed him to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.
 
The 2-year-old girl passenger in the car died from her injuries, CHP said. Officials did not release her name to the public.
