31-Year-Old Man Dies in Pedestrian Crash at Cottonwood Avenue and Juniper Street

 
HESPERIA, CA (November 8, 2022) – Andrew Lopez was hit and killed by a vehicle in Hesperia late Sunday evening on November 6.
 
The fatal crash happened around 10:29 p.m. in the area of Cottonwood Avenue and Juniper Street. Sheriff’s deputies said the 31-year-old victim from Hesperia was walking north when a 2017 Nissan Altima struck him in the north lane of Cottonwood Avenue
 
Lopez suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. The Hesperia Station Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is handling the investigation.
