Amy Arsenault Killed in Pedestrian Crash on 40 Freeway near 5 Mile Road

 
NEEDLES, CA (January 8, 2024) Amy Arsenault died in a pedestrian accident on the 40 Freeway near 5 Mile Road.
 
According to a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Coroner’s Press Release, the fatal pedestrian crash happened on December 26. Around 7:16 p.m., an unidentified driver struck 34-year-old Amy Lee Arsenault on the 40 Freeway. Soon after, paramedics responded and found Arsenault with major injuries. However, she passed away moments later.
 
In the investigation, detectives learned that the driver was heading eastbound before the crash.
 
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigators who said neither weather conditions nor construction played a part in the cause.
